I have been involved with dogs since I was 11 years old, and when I moved into my first house in 1995, I bought my first standard poodle, Scandal, and my second, Domino, shortly after. I started training Scandal in obedience in 1996 and started showing Domino in conformation the same year. My standard poodle family grew quickly, as did my interests in the dog world. I competed in obedience up to Class C, I started training and competing with my girls in dog jumping and agility, I tried out tracking and even man-work and APT with my poodles. I love showing my poodles and am lucky enough to have had great success in the show-ring, having both handled and bred Best in Show winning standard poodles . I have recently taken up agility again with 2 young bitches and we are looking forward to competing again shortly.
I bred my first litter of standard poodles in 2002, and I am completely committed to improving the breed in Southern Africa through careful selective breeding from top quality imported bloodlines. In the last 20 years I have liaised with top breeders in USA, UK and Sweden, and imported 6 standard poodles to improve the bloodlines in this country. I am passionate about not only my poodles, but also about their lifestyle, health and well-being.
I currently share my life with 14 fabulous standard poodles, and although it can get a little hectic at times, I couldn’t be happier
